A weekend workshop with Gabrielle Moleta in her detailed method to creating character through working in animal.

“To act is to transform” and this approach gives the actor/performer a physical method of work, with an animal or bird as the source.  You can read about the approach,  ‘Transformation and Imaginative Improvisation’, here.

If you have worked with Gabrielle before and want a chance to dive back in, explore a new animal - or build on an animal you have already worked on with her - sharpening your instincts for character creation this is a perfect weekend for you.

If you haven't  worked with Gabrielle before, this is the workshop to start with - a rare chance to learn and instill the groundwork and open the way for transformation towards character creation.

Working with Gabrielle, a ‘master of her craft’, you will discover this detailed, imaginative approach to enabling transformation through her specific approach in animal. This approach has its roots in the work of Jacques Copeau, and has been developed over the last century through a direct lineage of teachers leading to Gabrielle.  

You will develop new habits, come to new discoveries for character creation – both physical and imaginative- through an intensive and nurturing process.

About Gabrielle 

Gabrielle works as a movement coach and director, and has been helping develop actors and performers over the past two decades. She gives masterclasses internationally, and has taught at leading conservatoires in the UK. She teaches regularly at Gaiety School of Acting - National Theatre School of Ireland (Dublin); RADA (London), and is part of the movement faculty at Shakespeare’s Globe. In her Transformation work she carries a unique legacy passed down from teacher to assistant, from Jacques Copeau through Michel Saint Denis, John Blatchley and Catherine Clouzot.
