From Creative Practice to Climate Justice Action was a week long symposium held at the Bathway Theatre, Greenwich, London this summer. It was led by Independent Producer Pippa Bailey who brought artists, cultural workers, academics, environmental activists, community members, funders, climate scientists and policy makers together through the first week of July at Greenwich University. All of those involved were there because we were keen to explore the role of the live arts in responding to the Climate and Ecological Emergency, through transformation and transition, with social justice at the heart.

There were many contributers and supporters: Professor Jorge Lopes Ramos Fariha Ahmed Henrietta Baird Gabrielle Moleta Louisa Hrabowy Sita Brand Tangled Feet Theatre Laurie Sansom niamh dowling Deborah Hart CLIMARTE Tracy Durrant. “Material objects witness everything and say nothing. Animals say more. And they are disappearing. That things should be lost to our knowledge is one thing, in which we don’t know where we are or they are; that things should be lost form the earth is another “
