A two day summer intensive with Gabrielle Moleta in her detailed method to discovering character through working in animal.

“To act is to transform” and this approach gives the actor/performer a physical method of work, with an animal or bird as the source.

Timings: Tuesday 10 June 10am-3pm; Wednesday 11 June 10am-3pm

You will develop new habits, come to new discoveries for character creation – both physical and imaginative- through an intensive and nurturing process.

Who is it for: It’s for actors, performers, makers, writers, dancers, artists. All bodies are good bodies.

What we will cover:

  • Physical preparatory exercises

  • Approaches to animal observation

  • A step by step approach to working in an animal in order to discover character.

** Note – you will need to do some observation of an animal in advance. Once you are signed up I will give you some guidance which will be non- onerous and exciting!

About Gabrielle

Gabrielle works as a movement coach and director and has been helping develop actors and performers for more than two decades. She gives masterclasses internationally and has taught at leading conservatoires in the UK and Ireland. She teaches regularly at RADA , London and Gaiety School of Acting, Dublin and is part of the movement faculty at Shakespeare’s Globe (The Globe, London). In her Transformation work she carries a unique legacy passed down from teacher to assistant, from Jacques Copeau through Michel Saint Denis, John Blatchley and Catherine Clouzot.
