News from our collaborators: The bicycle- powered world premiere by Laura Bowler

Composer and performer Laura Bowler who we commissioned through Arts Council funding to begin a collaboration with in 2019-2020, has been at the Southbank Centre in July with her explosive commission from London Sinfonietta, Houses Slide. https://londonsinfonietta.org.uk/whats-on/houses-slide. You can catch the recording on BBC’s New Music show all through August. It’s described as an ‘industry first’ given the performance at Festival Hall on Friday 9th July, was powered entirely by bicycles!

The image below is of bicycles in Strasbourg, from a recent trip. Strasbourg is where John Blatchley was Michel Saint-Denis’s assistant at TNS, and where they both first taught Catherine Clouzot - so an important place in the lineage of our work!
